Holes

Holes, how deep do they have to be and does size really matter?

There are actually three holes, all of different size and depth. To drill a hole you have to measure your hand, not necessarily your hand as much as your finger. The conventional hole is measured from your fingertip to the second knuckle.

This works great if you like hard and straight. The other method is measured from fingertip to the first knuckle. This is actually called fingertip. I like to refer to it as slow and twisty. Either method works well, however, I prefer slow and twisty. I am able to hit the pocket easier and get better reaction. Also, I look cool doing it.

Either way you have a choice, if you are unable to reach your goal with one then try the other. If you are still unable to accomplish your goal, don't worry, it happens to everyone, not me personally, but some. As far as size goes, YES it does matter. If its too loose you will release prematurely and we all know how that turns out.

If it is too tight you won't be able to release at all and then you are left laying there with all your friends laughing at you. My tip is to have a professional drill your hole. That way you are sure he will get the right angle and go just deep enough. So remember, always have a hole that's a little snug and just the right depth.

Happy Bowling!

Thanks Bob. It's always good to have a snug hole.
